Sweetwater County Offers Top Mountain Biking Experiences in Wyoming

Why go to Sweetwater County? Better yet, Why go there with a bicycle? Reason: Sweetwater County has some of the best singletrack trails in Wyoming. No. Correction - probably the best singletrack trails in the entire West. If you're an adventure-seeker (one who seeks adventure) - then this biking haven, located in Southwest Wyoming is worth  checking out. While on two wheels,  blazing a trail on a hard tail or full-suspension bike, you'll be surrounded by 10,500 square miles of high desert country - along with the nearby towns of Green River and Rocks Springs. Sweetwater County, located halfway between Yellowstone and Canyonlands National Parks.

Wilkins Peak Trail System

What you got here is high desert riding's finest hour -  offering choices for riders from beginners to advanced. The trails here are buff and ready to shred!

TnT Trail

This advanced out-and-back trail boasts tight turns, bumps, drops and steeps to get the heart pumping. Side trails offer an easier way up or down; for riders of all skill levels. For the more daring, check out Lunatic Fringe Lunatic: an expert trail with several ladder bridges, offering an excellent test for side hill and balance riding. Overall, expect some good climbs and many technical turns and drops.

Green River Bike Park

Features technical elevated trails, a pump track, dirt jumps, big berms, rock drops, and teeter totters. For easy stuff; check out the  1/3-mile loop trail around the perimeter of the park. The Bike & Trike/Java Peddler (612 Broadway in Rock Springs)  is a great place to gear up and get, well, java.
